About the newsroom
A fuller picture, with someone accountable for every claim.
Good News IRL is an independent digital newsroom launching in Greater Chicago. We report meaningful progress without hiding the problem, the limitations, or the people still waiting for change.
Who publishes the work
Stories are published by the Good News IRL newsroom under an institutional byline. The founding publisher operates behind the brand rather than as a public personality; editorial accountability remains with the newsroom and its published standards.
How funding is handled
Sponsors, advertisers, donors, members, sources, and partners do not receive control over reporting conclusions. Material funding relationships or conflicts are disclosed with the relevant work.
How corrections work
When a material fact changes or an error is confirmed, the story is updated with a visible explanation of what changed and when. Corrections can be submitted through the newsroom contact form.
How to reach us
Readers, sources, and potential collaborators can use the public newsroom contact and story-tip forms. Private requests, payment, sponsorship, and partnership terms require separate review.
